Stolen Birthright and Blessing
The Prophesy of Jacob and Esau
1-11-25 Shabbat
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
It is extremely clear that Jacob was type of the serpent and Esau is a type of Adam. In Rebekah’s womb there was enmity between them, so much so she enquired of Yahweh about it and so Yahweh spoke to her this prophesy:
Gen 25:22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
Gen 25:23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
Gen 25:24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
Gen 25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
Gen 25:26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
Jacob (YaQoB) means “heel catcher” in Hebrew. He came out holding on to Esau (Adam’s) heel. Did he not directly demonstrate Yahweh’s prophesy between Adam and the serpent in Gen 3:15?
Esau was even called Adam (Edom), because he had red hair and he sold his birthright for a bowl of red lentils. He sold his birthright to the serpent (Jacob) for that which was “good for food”. Esau is the type of the flesh (hairy) beast/carnal nature that wrestles against divine nature.
Gen 25:29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:
Gen 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom (ADaM).
Gen 25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
Gen 25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
Gen 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
Gen 25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, … she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Yahweh gave us the parable of Jacob and Esau to show us that Adam clearly sold his birthright to the serpent because he despised it. Not only his birthright, but his blessing of dominion too:
Gen 27:36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
Gen 27:37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
Esau’s firstborn blessing was essentially dominion as the head of the family/tribe which Jacob supplanted. Yes, he was rightly named Jacob, for he was cunning. Jacob became Esau’s “lord” and all of his brethren servants to him.
This is exactly what the serpent did to Adam. It was given to Adam (his blessing) to have dominion over everything on the earth. The serpent clearly had dominion over the earth, that he is called the prince of the air, and was able to to offer Yashua all the earth. The serpent stole his blessing through deception, and so he became Adam’s lord, and Adam’s neck came under his yoke:
Gen 27:40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
This is the same yoke that Yahweh has purposed to break in his mountains. The yoke of the Assyrian (satan) that all of humanity came under by Adam selling him the birthright as Yahweh’s firstborn son. Adam was the first, Yashua was the last, and vise versa.
Isa 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
Isa 14:25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
Isa 14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
Isa 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Esau sold his birthright for fear of death. All of humanity is in bondage to the fear of death. This is the yoke that Adam came under (shadow/image of death) to HeLYL when he sold his birthright:
Gen 25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
This is the same covenant and yoke that Yahweh and Yashua break for us in the tops of the mountains, at the Wedding Feast, for death is the last enemy that must be destroyed:
Isa 25:6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
Isa 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
