The New Covenant: The First Commandment

Jan 5 / Professor El-Yah

As you will see in the next section, the word “new” does not mean original or first in place or time. Rather, it means “to refresh”, or to clean and make like new. I detail this out for you in the Hebrew and the Greek so that you can see it clearly. This has profound implications which you will now be exposed to.

Be patient with yourself in this section. Allow your mind to adjust to the scriptures I present here and how I present them. May the Holy Spirit enlighten the eyes of your heart that you may see.

1Jn 2:7  Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

1Jn 2:8  Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

In this section I will explain to you about the “old commandment”, which is the first commandment given to mankind. In the next section I will explain how this relates to your “new name” and the “new covenant”. When you understand (in the next section) what the word “new” means, you will have a deeper and profound understanding of your true name and the true covenant that God expects you to walk in. Let’s go!

The “old commandment” in 1Jn 2:7 is the “word which ye have heard from the beginning”. We know that “in the beginning was the Word” (John 1:1). We also know that it is the same John that wrote these two verses, as well as the following one:

1Jn 1:1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life…

What is “from the beginning”? The “Word of life”. How was this “Word of life” expressed in relationship to humankind from the beginning? That expression is found in Gen 1:26

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion

What “Word of life” was manifested in order to be seen and handled? Gen 1:26. Of course, Yashua (Jesus) is the Eternal Word of the Father, which encompasses all of who the Father is in the seed revelation of “the Word”. However, what of the Eternal Word of the Father’s reality is really relevant to us…as the first word or commandment that He spoke to us? It is Gen 1:26

The answer to this question (Gen 1:26) goes back to God’s purpose in writing the Bible for us and giving it to us. What is that purpose? It is the purpose of Identity. The overriding message of the Bible is two-fold: Who is God and who are you as His image and likeness. Once you grasp this, then you only have one question left: how do you (the replica) walk together with Him (the Original), in dominion over all of His created works? That question is a logical next step for those who take Gen 1:26 seriously, and that question is actually answered in Gen 1:28 (yes it is coded in the mystery language of Hebrew). This was the “old commandment” (1Jn 2:7) which “ye had from the beginning”. What is the “old commandment” again? It is the instructions to mankind from the Beginning.

These instructions were manifested for us to see what they looked like. The disciples touched this Word as it was replicated into human flesh.

What did that Word of Life look like when it was manifested? It looked like Jesus Christ. Did you know this? Did you know that Jesus Christ is the Gen 1:26 Man manifested? Did you know that Gen 1:26 is the foundational Plan of God from the Beginning for mankind? If you don’t know this well, click HERE for our Identity course.

Indeed, Jesus Christ (YaSHUAH MeSHYaCH) is the Word from the Beginning that was spoken by Elohym concerning the perfect plan of God for man. He is Gen 1:26 fulfilled who has walked on this planet and who now awaits His Bride to make herself ready so that He can return IN her to set His Head upon her body:

Rev 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Luk 9:58  And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

2Th 1:10  When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe…

Indeed, Jesus Christ (YaSHUAH MeSHYaCH) is the Word from the Beginning that was spoken by Elohym concerning the perfect plan of God for man. He is Gen 1:26 fulfilled who has walked on this planet and who now awaits His Bride to make herself ready, to also become the Word mad flesh, so that He can return IN her to set His Head upon her body:

Summary by Sierra

John speaks of the “Word of life” that we heard, saw, looked upon, and handled as being the commandment and word we heard from the beginning.

The entire Word of God is rooted in who is God and who are you, which is encapsulated in the command God spoke to mankind in Genesis 1:26. So we can see that John is pointing us towards Genesis 1:26 as the first ever “word” God spoke to us that laid the rest of the foundation of the Bible.

When the Word of God was made flesh, we get Yashua, who is the perfect son and image of the Father. He embodied Genesis 1:26 perfectly. We are flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone (Eph 5:30); and we are His bride that will walk as He walked in Genesis 1:26.

1Jn 2:6  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

The Word of God is all about who is God and who are you and how do we walk together with Him in dominion, which is exactly what Yashua demonstrated and lived out. He is the Word made flesh that was seen and looked upon, who carried Father's glory (John 1:14).

Joh 5:19  Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
